Mission & Vision

Mission

To center relationships to interweave Indigenous and institutional approaches to Earth sciences. In this way, we cultivate innovative responses to extreme weather, water, and climate impacts. We envision collaborative research that brings together Indigenous and other Earth sciences, methodologies, and knowledges in a respectful manner to achieve more scientifically robust weather and climate actions that support traditional lifeways. Through this process, Rising Voices works to honor Indigenous rights of sovereignty and self-determination.

Vision

To see Indigenous and institutional collaborations that uplift a scientifically robust, climate resilience, and culturally sustaining world for all generations.
